Meet Csaba Imre, Country Manager at Premier Outlet Budapest & M3 Outlet Polgár

As we come to the end of our series of interviews with the Centre Managers across the ROS portfolio, we would like to round it off with Csaba Imre, who manages both Premier Outlet Budapest and M3 Outlet Polgár in Hungary.
Being in charge of the management of Hungary's only two Designer Outlet centres, what does each of them bring to visitors?
Premier Outlet Budapest has undergone a metamorphosis that includes the quality of the built environment, common and leisure areas. Restaurants providing special food offers and many international premium brands have taken a foothold since 2018. All this ensures a unique shopping experience for our customers and visitors. Similar processes started in M3 Outlet Polgár last year since ROS Management took over the operation of the property.
M3 Outlet Polgár became part of the ROS portfolio only in October 2021. What novelties or changes can we expect in the centre this year?
Our aim is to upgrade the brand mix by introducing new international well-known labels – which we cannot yet unveil –, and to continue the renovation works already started in the common areas, such as the reconstruction of the water blocks and the food court.
Premier Outlet Budapest is the largest and most prestigious outlet in the country. What is your favourite spot?
My favourite place in Premier Outlet Budapest is the new community park in the heart of the complex. I quite often sit down on a bench, especially in summer, and watch the people happily strolling through the square or as the kids playing together in the playground.
If you could take over someone else's job for a day, which job would it be?
At the end of a very hard day, I often think about how good it would be to herd sheep on the hillside as a shepherd. Seriously, every job has its own ups and downs. I have always worked in retail and this is the one thing I would not trade for anything else. If we change anything for the better, this is the area where the results will be seen immediately.
Tell us one of your quirks
From time to time, I reread the complete science fiction works of Isaac Asimov. He was an American writer and professor of biochemistry at Boston University and was considered one of the “Big Three” science fiction writers.
And last, but not least, what do you consider to be the great challenge that ROS has ahead?
In the last turbulent years, many things affected people and companies, such as the coronavirus and its consequences. After a long period of peace, war broke out again in Europe, and energy prices have soared to previously unimaginably levels. Therefore, I believe the biggest challenge for ROS is to be able to react quickly and flexibly to the needs of customers and landlords.
